Countryside Awards 2016

6 May 2016

Do you know a community project which deserves an environmental award?

This category is for community and voluntary organisations and enterprises, including charitable projects and schemes run by parish councils, local interest or amenity groups. Qualities we look for include:

A high level of community involvement, projects and schemes which encourage a wide range of people to connect with the countryside, the prioritisation of environmental, conservation or restoration within the rural or urban environment, sustainability and educational elements to name but a few.

Derek Tippetts from Poundhead Conservation said, “We were honoured to receive last year’s award, especially against strong competition, and the publicity it provided helped to lift our profile both in terms of volunteer recruitment and with relevant outside bodies. It has given us added credibility and provided us with confirmation that we are in the process of creating something special in the heart of the New Forest National Park.”

How to enter – visit www.cprehampshire.org.uk, read the Information for Entrants and download and complete the short entry form and send it to us with some supporting photos.
