Volunteers’ Week 2026: St Faith’s Hub – Leesland, Gosport

6 June 2026

About St Faith’s Hub

St Faith’s Hub is a Food and Children’s Clothing Bank based in Leesland, Gosport, supporting local families, children, and individuals facing hardship. The hub provides practical support, community activities, and a welcoming space where people feel valued, connected, and supported.

Volunteers at the Heart of Our Community

Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Our team of 6 leaders and 21 volunteers support the hub in many different ways, including sorting and managing donations, helping in the kitchen serving food and drinks, teaching life skills, offering pastoral care and a listening ear, supporting craft activities, attending fundraising and awareness events, playing with children, running film club sessions, and helping with adult groups such as Chill n Chat.

The Difference Volunteers Make

The difference our volunteers make is huge. They provide a lifeline of belonging and purpose for many people in our community and help create a strong sense of community in the heart of Leesland.

Volunteers help combat loneliness and social isolation, support families in crisis and on low incomes, and provide access to essential household items that help families save money during difficult times.

Their support benefits a wide range of people including families, older people, adults, children aged 0–10 years, as well as other volunteers and leaders within the team.

Volunteer Impact in Numbers

  • 3,095 adults supported by the end of 2025
  • 516 children supported
  • 275 food bags distributed
  • 6 leaders and 21 volunteers supporting the hub

Voices from Our Community

“I don’t know what I would have done without the Hub.”

“I’m so blessed with a Chill n Chat family who make you feel welcome and where you can be yourself, where you can laugh or cry and know someone will always be there for you.”

Stronger Together in Leesland

One of the biggest impacts we see at St Faith’s Hub is the friendships and support networks that grow through our sessions. People who once felt isolated now have a place where they feel welcomed, valued, and connected.

Families facing difficult circumstances know they have somewhere to turn for both practical and emotional support, showing the true power of communities coming together through volunteering.
